In this one-time class, students are introduced to multiplication through arrays with M&M's candies. As a class, we will see examples of arrays, match arrays to the correct multiplication sentence, and practice our skills. The teacher will use ppt lessons for demonstrations and the interactive game. Students should have a piece of paper and a pen to practice and follow along. Students are encouraged to think about their favorite color of M&M's candies and other favorite candies! We will ask ice breaker questions about favorite candies to get students comfortable and warmed up. Note: Students do not need M&M's for this class.

How to recognize an array. How to use an array to make a multiplication math problem and solve it using arrays.

Supply List
Please have a piece of paper and and pen or pencil ready for class. We will use it for our interactive game and extra practice.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
