Welcome, Demigods! In order to accommodate our year-round campers, Mr. D has given me permission to create these weekly meetings. We will build, update, and repair the camp. We will also take field trips. We'll visit Mount Olympus, Ancient Greece, the Labyrinth, and various other totally educational locations. ;-) NOTE- A new section is starting 3/24 **This class takes place in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. In order to participate, all students must have a device running a Bedrock edition of Minecraft. That includes Windows 10, Android, ioS, Xbox One, and PS4 Bedrock Edition. It will NOT work with Java. Players must have a Microsoft or Xbox account with multiplayer permissions turned ON prior to joining the meeting. Students who are not set up will need to do that during their first meeting. I will provide links and information from the Minecraft website to help if you need it. I cannot refund learners who join the class but do not have their accounts set up. If you are not sure about your student's settings, or if they have not joined a Realm before, consider taking "Minecraft Realms for Beginners" prior to joining the class. ** Schedule for Class A (1:30 PM Pacific/4:30 PM Eastern) : February 2/3 Meet up and get cabin assignments. Start building cabins. 2/10 Tour an ancient Greek city. 2/17 Build cabins at Camp Half-Blood 2/24 Hide and Seek in an ancient Greek City. March 3/3 Build Cabins at Camp Half-Blood 3/10 No Class 3/17 Visit Mt. Olympus 3/24 Start building more features at Camp. 3/31 Fight in the Arena. Campers will have the chance to fight monsters in a battle arena either in teams or 1 on 1. April 4/7 Check-in at Camp. What can be improved? 4/14 Escape the Labyrinth 4/24 Work on Camp. Schedule for Class B (3 PM Pacific/ 6 PM Eastern) March 3/24 Meet up and get cabin assignments. Start building cabins. 3/31 Tour an ancient Greek city. April 4/7 Build Cabins at Camp Half-Blood 4/14 Escape the Labyrinth 4/24 Work on Camp 4/28 NO CLASS May 5/5 Hide and Seek in an Ancient Greek City 5/12 Build Features at Camp 5/19 Visit Mt. Olympus 5/26 Fight in the Arena. Campers will have the chance to fight monsters in a battle arena either in teams or 1 on 1.
Learning Goals
Campers will get to explore the world of Percy Jackson and Greek Myths. They will work to build a camp and explore pre-built worlds. We will discuss the books and talk about the myths and stories that inspired Mr. Riordan.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Some Greek Myths include violence or more "adult" topics. We certainly will not go into detail about the gods' love affairs, but they may come up in conversation.
This class will be played in creative, adventure, and survival modes and the campers will have the opportunity to fight and kill monsters and, possibly, each other.

Players must have a Microsoft or Xbox account with multiplayer permissions turned ON prior to joining the meeting. Most game consoles require a paid membership for online multiplayer. Students who are not set up will need to do that during their first meeting. I will provide links and information from the Minecraft website to help if you need it. I cannot refund learners who join the class but do not have their accounts set up. If you are not sure about your student's settings, or if they have not joined a Realm before, consider taking "Minecraft Realms for Beginners" prior to joining the class.
