Class Experience

This class is in Minecraft Education Edition. You will need an account and to download this edition ahead of time. We provide a student license for each learner during their enrollment. Please check your messages for the user info.It might need to be provided during class, if the sign up was under 24 hours. Ipads or computers will work with Minecraft Education. We will be in a closed world or server environment that ensures safety.

The instructor is a Minecraft Education Certified Teacher. We will be utilizing Minecraft Education to really dive into the topics. Yes, there will be lots of building time, but it is important for us to actually make sure they understand the reasons behind what they are doing in the build. That is the reason this class is a little longer than most. It allows us time to instruct on the concepts and then still give time to allow kids to show off their project to friends and the instructor. We have the first 5 weeks planned out and will adjust the following to the abilities and interests of the kids in the class for the following weeks and keep this weekly breakdown updated.

We will have a set of expectations and conduct for the students enrolled. If your learner is looking to destroy other's work or what can be called griefing. This is not the class for them. We will build each other up and not tear anyone down. This is an inclusive classroom for all. We will also be developing a teens section if your learner is older than the age range for this class.
