Class Experience

Learn to apply computer coding concepts (such as events, absolute and relative positions, variables, iteration, conditionals, functions and arrays) through the Minecraft game and Microsoft MakeCode software. Whether the students are new to Minecraft or have been playing for years, they will learn to apply important coding skills and watch their coding creations come to life in Minecraft. Examples of the projects include programming the agent to help the player do various tasks, spawning different animals/monsters, copying structures, clearing areas with commands and more.

** Daily Schedule: After the first 90 minutes of class, there will be a 15-minute break, followed by another 75 minutes of class.

Supply List
• PC Windows (version 10), Chromebook ( OS 83 and up) and MAC (iOS 10.13 and up). This class does NOT support any other devices. 
• Download and install the latest version of Minecraft: Education Edition software from https://education.minecraft.net/get-started/download/. The software is free. The school account login will be provided by Computer Adventures on or before the first day of class. 
• An external mouse  (2 buttons and a scroll wheel) is strongly recommended.
• Stable internet network connection.

We offer on-line and in-person, public as well as private group classes. For our private group classes, we will accommodate your course choice, schedule, virtual or physical venue, and provide instructors and equipment (if needed).
