Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
Are you up for the Minecraft Building Challenge?

In this flex course, you will be introduced to some unique construction and architecture that can be found around the world. After watching a short video about the structure, you will be challenged to build one in your own game. When you are done, you will share your building with the rest of the class, and we will share our comments and ask questions to learn more about each other's work.

Each week, the teacher will:
- post a short video describing the construction/architecture for that week
- post feedback for each learner's build

Each week, the learner will:
- watch the teacher's video
- take a picture/screenshot of their build and share it to the classroom
- write or leave of video of one nice compliment for each of the other learners' builds
- vote on the best build
- issue challenges to other learners

Video Subjects:

Week One: Castles Around the World
Week Two: The City of Atlantis
Week Three: Famous Skylines/Skyscrapers
Week Four: Traditional Houses Around the World

This class is great for builders who are still getting used to Minecraft and experienced builders as well. If you are looking for a class that will challenge your learner and encourage them to think outside the box, this is the best place to be!

**Please note: This class isn't about learning to play Minecraft. I can assist with some basic questions, but for instructions on how to play Minecraft, I'd suggest finding guides on Youtube to help your learner start out, if they've never played before.**
Learning Goals
Students will learn about the architecture of different structures found in the world or in mythology. They will specifically be introduced to castles around the world, the mythical city of Atlantis, and famous skylines or skyscrapers.
