Mindfulness: Your Superpower for Managing Stress
In this one time course, students will learn what mindfulness is and how it can help them to manage their stress. They will learn how to breathe mindfully, complete a body scan activity and learn about an anxiety grounding technique.

Beginner Level
In this one-time class, students will: 1. Learn about Mindfulness and the power behind it 2. Learn the definition of Stress, and 3. Learn three Mindfulness Techniques and practice them. Technique 1: Mindful Breathing - in this mindfulness exercise students will focus on controlling their breath. Technique 2: Body Scan - in this activity I will guide students through a body scan meditation that encourages them to focus on their body to find the tension and release it through breathing. Technique 3 - Grounding exercise - in this activity students will learn how when they are in an anxious moment to identify things that have to do with their 5 senses. At the conclusion of this class, students will receive a Mindfulness Techniques document that will showcase six additional techniques that they can take with them.
