In this one time class, students will have the opportunity to be in the present by using their five senses through mindfulness meditation.

The students will learn about a mindfulness meditation breathing technique. The topic covered in this class will be about mindfulness meditation; what it is and how to apply it. The class will begin with each student introducing themselves to me and the class, what is mindfulness, a mindfulness meditation breathing technique, and class discussion. The students will have to opportunity to discuss what they learned from the session. Students are welcome to ask topic appropriate questions as I teach as well. My teaching style is to create a positive learning environment that makes every student feel welcome. The students will need the following for class: an open mind, an open heart, and ready to fill their knowledge bucket.

Students will learn how to understand the results of using the mindful meditation breathing technique.

Parental Guidance
Mindfulness Meditation includes breathing techniques. If your child should feel that they need to hold their breath for a few seconds more or a few seconds less during the inhale and exhale portion of class, then they need to listen to their body.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I have been teaching for over six years. I took an eight week Mindful Kids Miami meditation course and additional trainings. I have incorporated these mindfulness meditation techniques in both the virtual and physical classroom and the students feel very calm afterwards.
