Homework Offered
Assessments Offered
In the Mindful Kids class, the emphasis is on experiential learning and personal growth rather than traditional assessments like tests or quizzes. Instead of focusing on academic performance, the class aims to cultivate mindfulness skills and promote well-being through engaging activities, discussions, and mindfulness practices. Assessment in this context may involve observing students' participation, engagement, and progress in mindfulness activities, as well as their ability to apply mindfulness techniques in their daily lives. Teachers may provide feedback and guidance based on observations and discussions to support students' development and encourage their continued exploration of mindfulness. Overall, the focus is on creating a supportive and nurturing environment where children can develop valuable life skills and cultivate a deeper understanding of themselves and their emotions.
Grades Offered
In the Mindful Kids class, the focus is on fostering mindfulness skills, personal growth, and well-being rather than traditional grading systems. As such, letter grades or formal certificates of completion are not typically offered. Instead, the emphasis is on experiential learning, participation, and the development of mindfulness techniques that can benefit students both inside and outside the classroom. While there may not be formal grading options, teachers may provide feedback, encouragement, and recognition of students' progress and efforts throughout the class. This feedback can help students understand their strengths, areas for growth, and how they can further develop their mindfulness practice. Ultimately, the goal of the Mindful Kids class is to create a supportive and nurturing environment where children can explore mindfulness, develop essential life skills, and cultivate inner peace and resilience. By focusing on the process of learning and personal development, students can reap the benefits of mindfulness in their daily lives without the pressure of traditional grading systems.
