Mindfulness is a concept is growing more and more into the community and the school system. The current use of technology gives us a a great amount of benefits and at the same time takes time away from relating personally to others and socializing appropriately. A developing child now needs to understand the importance of relationships, starting with ourselves. Learning to be mindful will help children with self regulation coping skills, feeling calmer, focused, grounded and making better decisions. Mindful breathing work improves self control and helps grow the thoughtful pre frontal cortex part of our brain. In this class we will use our body and mind to move with our breath through different brain balancing exercises and practice of presence.
