The focus on this course is teaching students reading skills but also a love for reading. 
Students will improve Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary Acquisition, Critical Thinking Skills, Text Structure and Organization, Active Reading Strategies.
Students will strive to develop effective annotation skills, strategic questioning abilities, predictive reading techniques, summarization proficiency, and metacognitive reflection habits as active reading strategies to enhance their comprehension and engagement with texts.

Students will evaluate a range of different text
Students will practice active reading skills and functions of text.

I am Ms Mumma.
* I have Multiple Degrees in Education and I have taught for many years. I have experience teaching online as well as in classroom.  
* I am a Published Writer & a Homeschool Mom.
* I am TESOL, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and TEFL Teaching English as a Foreign Language certified
* I am a native English speaker.
* I have previously served as a Parent Educator.
I teach Classes in English and English Language Arts, as well as Tutoring 1 on 1 for reading and for English speakers.

  I love teaching writing. I teach reading, writing, speaking, socratic (discussion) circles, book club, and many courses in  English Language Arts.
 
I teach ESL English as a Second Language. Students of varying abilities whether they are beginners, intermediate or more advanced with the language.

Homework is offered to students for practice and for fun.  You will love this structure.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Informal assessments will be given in the first week of this course as well as repeated at the end for all students who continue throughout the entire course.
Grades Offered

Material will be provided to students often in the form of digital downloads, slides and assignments.
