This course will meet twice a week and covers 6th-8th grade Middle School Science Standards through presentations, videos, simulations, interactives, hands-on activities and best of all experiments! We will explore real-world problems through inquiry, analyzing data/observations and drawing conclusions. The course will create a classroom environment allowing learners to interact with the teacher and peers throughout the course making for a phenomenal learning experience! It will provide a comprehensive and engaging approach to learning that covers the Nature of Science, Physical science, Life Science, and Earth Science. It will include labs and demonstrations of science concepts. It will meet your student's science curriculum needs! This course will include presentations, guided notes, videos, reading, writing, graphic organizers, foldables, experiments/labs, and demonstrations. I'm a firm believer in creating engaging learning experiences. I'm excited to begin a journey of discovering science with your learner! Teacher expertise and credentials
Florida Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
I am a certified teacher and I've been teaching middle school comprehensive science since 2014 and I taught 5th-grade science prior to moving to middle school and in 2023 I became a Math & Science Instructional Coach. I currently help design activities that support K-8th-grade curriculum for math and science teachers. I will be incorporating reading and writing in this science course as well. I have a master's degree in reading and writing, and I am a firm believer in reading and writing in the content area.
