Class
In this private tutoring session, let's help your child review, strengthen, & extend their middle school math skills through skill reteach, guided practice, & unit review games with individualized summer support from a certified teacher.

Class experience

US Grade 5 - 8
Beginner - Advanced Level
Aligned with Common Core State Standards (CCSS)
In 2013, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Middle Childhood Education (Grades 4-9) Mathematics & Language Arts with a K-12 Reading Endorsement and Minor in Literacy from Walsh University. In 2020, I earned my Master of Education degree in Curriculum & Instruction - Gifted & Talent Development Education from Ashland University. Throughout the past 10 years in both brick-and-mortar and virtual learning settings, I have tutored 4th through 9th Grade Math, Reading, and Writing as well as taught 6th and 8th Grade Math to all levels of learners, Algebra I to enriched/gifted students, and K-12 English Language Arts and Reading to ESL students.
Homework Offered
My goal for each tutoring session is to support your learner in ways that work best for their learning style and needs; therefore, our most effective Math experiences will occur during our live sessions! However, if you wish for your child to continue practicing our tutoring skills between sessions, I would be happy to provide optional written or virtual practice options as homework if requested by the parent/guardian.
Assessments Offered
During our sessions, we will utilize a variety of virtual learning tools which will provide continuous feedback on your learner's progress in real time. As their tutor, I will continue to keep a record of their continued progress on each of the virtual tools we use, and the parent/guardian may also request a progress report of these skills and scores at any time.
Grades Offered
Skills offered in this tutoring experience have been selected to support key skill builders learned throughout most middle school math courses and will best support soon-to-be 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students.
Although we will be using many virtual learning tools during our tutoring sessions, I always encourage students to attend sessions with notebook paper or graph paper, a writing utensil (preferably pencil), and a calculator (only if permitted by their former or upcoming grade level curriculum).
