In this pre-algebra essentials class, students will learn two topics per week. The material will be taught traditionally by introducing the students to the topic, practicing together, and utilizing breakout rooms to allow students to work in pairs to practice working on the topic themselves. Kahoot! and Blooket will also be used to reinforce each topic further. These games are timed. Please make sure that your student is okay with timed games. Some students don't like it, and some do! Homework is assigned in the form of worksheets. This is optional but highly recommended. This class is very structured to ensure that all subject matter is covered during class and to make sure that students get to ask questions if they need clarification. We also like to laugh and have fun in class, as long as time permits! Please read the full description! *****Pre-Algebra does review earlier middle school math.
