At the end of this class, students will feel confident in pre-algebra and will be ready to begin algebra 1. I will use a combination of games, quizzes, activities, and videos each week. This class is asynchronous and will not have any live meetings. Each lesson will have a recorded video where I will present the topic, a practice worksheet, and a collaborative game. Students will participate in edpuzzle, flipgrid, and play with other learners in games like Blooket and Kahoot!. Quizzes will be assigned weekly to measure mastery. Office hours will be set aside weekly to review students' questions, and additional help will be offered. These office hours will be posted weekly. Students may reach out through the Outschool messaging system to get additional help. Monday-Thursday: An Edpuzzle link will be posted each day with an interactive video lesson. A Blooket or Kahoot! game link, worksheet, and quizziz link will also be included in the post. (Most weeks will have 4 short video lessons. Some will have less.) Friday: Worksheet answer keys will be posted as well as a discussion question using Flipgrid. Sunday: All lessons, assignments, and quizzes for the week are due by 11:00pm.
