This one-time course is designed for students who need one-on-one assistance in the field of mathematics. This includes grades 6-8 math as well as Algebra 1.

Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 9
This tutoring session is designed to assist your learner in a middle school math concept they may be struggling with. This includes topics from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math as well as Algebra 1. Learner may bring a specific homework assignment they may need assistance with or a specific math concept. This must be provided to the teacher at least 24 hours before the session to ensure a successful lesson.

Topic that may be included but are not limited to:

-Integers
-Rational Numbers
-Expressions
-Equations and Inequalities 
-Proportional Relationships
-Measurement and Geometry 
-Data and Statistics
-Relations and Functions
-Linear Equations
-Systems of Equations and Inequalities
-Exponents
-Polynomials
-Quadratic Equations

The session will follow the I do, We do, You do format. Meaning I will provide direct instruction on the topic (I do), followed by guided assistance with the learner (we do), followed by individual practice by the learner (you do). This format will be followed whether it’s from a learner´s homework assignment or teacher made lesson.

Parental Guidance
Blooket may be used to review math concepts. Teacher will share his screen to host the different review games. Parents may create an account for their learner in order for them to collect different Blooks (characters), but it is not required. Lumio is an interactive slideshow program that can be used to teach or review material. Teacher may create a Lumio presentation for learners who may not have a specific homework assignment to review. Parents may create an account for their learner in order to save the presentation, but is not required.
