Class experience
The students will receive a class in a one-to-one setting to improve their math skills. The class will focus on the needs of the student and can include all topics that are covered in middle school math courses, grades 5 through 8. Content can include but not limited to: number operations, pre-algebra, pre-geometry, data and statistics, and financial literacy. The goal of this class is to improve the math proficiency of the student. The class will focus on the specific needs of the student. Students will improve their understanding of all concepts assigned in homework problems, and become more confident in math.
Students will need their assigned homework problems. (if we are focused on homework help) Students will also need a pencil, paper, and a good eraser! If calculators are permitted in class (usually 7th and 8th grade), then students will also want to have a calculator. If graphing is part of the assignment, students will also need graph paper. Protractors and compasses will be needed if we are measuring or constructing angles and/or bisecting lines. Colored pencils or markers if the student needs them.
