  • Students will improve their understanding of how important language development is in developing skills and concepts in math, science, history, and language. Students will increase their language skills by being able to define words through word parts. Students will understand how their skills are interconnected and their importance in various subjects.
As a dedicated educator with experience in teaching children (birth-eighth grade) with special needs, preschoolers, and my children. I know that writing is an important skill, particularly grammar, which is the rules of a language governing the sounds, words, sentences, and other elements, as well as their combination and interpretation. In addition, I have worked with students (adults and children) who are second language learners, where grammar is difficult to learn. In addition to being a certified elementary education teacher (K-8) and licensed special education, I am certified (TESOL and TEFL) to teach students whose English is their second language. I have a BA in Elementary Education, a BS in Special Education, an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, and an Ed.S in Education. The word grammar also denotes the study of these abstract features or a book presenting these rules of writing, which includes writing sentences that involve complete throughs involving grammatically correct sentences can be hard. I have worked in public schools with students with limited literacy and language for over 30 years. I worked with speech therapists to develop students' individual education plans in part, to help them learn to write, specifically to help them develop their language skills and give them a foundation for reading and writing. In addition, as a certified TEFL and TESOL teacher, I have received training in grammar, idioms, writing, and vocabulary development. I generally prefer one on one or in small groups as much as possible. This allows me to get to know the students and their needs. Grammar skills are something that students need to learn in a sequential manner. Traditional grammar is a sort of mental exercise in a purely abstract subject, but functional grammar is linked with speech, reading, and writing. Traditional grammar is taught formally, and functional grammar is taught incidentally. There are two main approaches to teaching grammar. These are the deductive and inductive approaches. I have received training as an elementary and special education teacher to help students learn various grammar skills. While I use worksheets to provide examples of lessons, I have been trained to teach grammar by encouraging and promoting reading and writing. This course will be based on techniques and skills that I found useful in helping students learn to write and answer questions. In addition, I have worked as a freelance writer and copy editor for 10 years as well as taught English skills at the elementary, middle, and high school levels for over 30 years. During my years as a teacher and now, as a freelance writer and editor, I have also tutored students who need to improve their writing skills for pre-K and post-graduate level papers.
