This is the first quarter of a year long class that will introduce the learner to Spanish basics as well as mastery of beginning conversational skills.

I am an interactive teacher with the goal of making learning both fun and educational. My classes include interactive discussion, games, songs and role play. Each class will begin with a warm up/greeting. We will then discuss the previous lesson/homework if applicable. Once new information is introduced via class lecture, google slides and at times video clips, we will practice the content using fun, interactive games and conversation. Recite the Spanish ABCs and spell name in the target language Describe orally and in writing objects using the singular and plural in addition to colors and numbers of objects. Recognize and formulate responses tor basic questions connected to each vocabulary unit. Develop an awareness of the geography of Spanish speaking countries Compare and contrast cultural characteristics of Spanish-speaking countries to US culture related to aspects including: family, food, money, holidays & school. Share basic information about oneself in Spanish using the vocabulary and verb structure we studied during the quarter.
Paper, writing utensil and the ability to join Kahoot and Quizlet in class. We will utilize "Kahoot" and "Quizlet" as a group to reinforce new material. I will also, at times, play a 2-3 minute video/song from Youtube to introduce the class to an educational song.
Google slides of each new class will be shared at the end of each class via google classroom as well as homework.
