Video lesson lengths vary depending on topic. Some lessons and activities may take 20 minutes and others may take 1 hour or more. The teacher will review submitted work and Blooket scores and provide weekly progress report messages on Fridays (if work was completed). This class can be completed in as little as 7 weeks if assignments are completed on a daily basis.
Learning Goals
*Students will practice identifying main idea in nonfiction texts by reading and completing practice activities
*Students will review sentence structure by completing guided notes and playing educational games
*Students will review elements of paragraph writing, essays, persuasive essays and research papers by completing guided notes, taking online quizzes, practicing outlining, and composing writing pieces
*Students will practice reading comprehension skills by reviewing strategies, independently reading middle grades text, answering reading comprehension questions and writing an open-ended response
