Class Experience

During this class I will introduce learners to tools in Microsoft Excel that enable them to organize and manage data. Learning topics include: Review of Excel Basics, Generating a Data Series, Flash Fill, Conditional Formatting, Sort and Filter, and Data Validation.
Upon enrollment, students will gain access to Excel learning files, the lesson presentation, and an optional learning activity. I will explain each skill, provide a demonstration, then give students time to try the skill on their own as they work with an inventory spreadsheet.
Students will need access to Microsof Excel (any version 2010 or newer. NOTE: if using the 365 version of Excel you may not have acccess to all Excel options) and they should know the basics of Excel: opening, closing, saving, identifying colunms, rows and cells, and selecting a range of data.
