Teaching Style: Demonstrate: - I will share knowledge about foundational skills - I will promote learning for learners by sharing using visuals (videos, worksheets, charts, etc.) - I will demonstrate how each learning concept is used - I will give students guidance and support when they are doing activities -I will provide feedback to improve understanding 3.Instruction Developmental Skills that will practiced in class English: Students will practice writing using structure and grammar. 4. Class Schedule/Structure/Interaction: Week 1: Intro to vocab words used to form an essay. Topic, Introduction, thesis Facts, opinions, thesis, conclusion, question words, transition words, descriptive words Week2: Research what you'll write about and create a template, chart or venn diagram to support your research. Remember there needs to be at least 1 chart per paragraph. Week 3: Start your 1st paragraph using the template, chart or venn diagram to support your essay. Week 4: Start your 2nd paragraph using the template, chart or venn diagram to support your essay. Week 5: Start your 3rd paragraph using the template, chart or venn diagram to support your essay. Week 6: Edit your rough draft. Check for fragmented sentences. Week 7: Rewrite your essay Week 8: Revise your essay again Week 9: Write your final essay. Week 10: Read essay out loud. 5. Requirements: -Posting worksheets in the classroom page discussion post -Participate -Communicate -Do activities -Have materials ready to be used 6. Online Rules: -Learners can use tablet or computer. -Learners can eat, drink and use the restroom. -Learners can dance to music if it's played. -Since this is a tutoring class, learners can bring their homework and reading material as a curriculum instead. -Learners can leave early if work is completed. *If you need to reach me don't hesitate to message me or write a classroom comment on the classroom page. 7. Learning Goals
In this class, learners will learn how to write in various ways. They will learn how to correct sentences, write compound and complex sentences, clauses, subjects, predicates, objects, subject-verb agreement. Lastly, they will be learning how to write sentences and paragraphs.
