Students will create artistic meditation tools/symbols to use, give as gifts, or to sell. Various design, blueprint, and/or handouts will be made available to use as a reference and create meditation tools. Students will make and assemble projects. Please read each class (below) to ensure your child is able to understand and make each project BEFORE signing him or her up. Students must have ALL required supplies to make and assemble their project (including any tools) and have them ready before each class begins, including printouts. Class One Students will learn how and why meditation tools are used with meditation. We will delve into what some call sacred geometry and what others refer to as the Fibonacci Sequence. We will discuss this mathematical concept, what this refers to, and where it is found. Students learn about various meditation symbols, what they look like, why and how they are used, and receive worksheets to help them design their symbols as a homework assignment they will need for use during the second class. Class Two During this second class students share the meditation symbol they created and what their symbol means for and to them. We will discuss the meaning of different colors and students will choose colors they want for these two symbols and can work on them during any remaining class time and after class. They will learn tips on creating a meditation space that reflects who they are. After a short guided meditation led by the instructor students will write their mantras. Students will also learn how to use mantras. Useful tips will be discussed prior to the meditation. Handouts will be posted in class with creative ideas and suggested supplies. Mantras can be framed or not, created on special paper, fabric, wood or driftwood, rocks or stones, cardboard, poster board (their choosing). They can use fabric paints, other paints, markers, colored pencils, crystals, wire, and/or ink or other mediums to create a work of art of their mantra words. Below are ideas of a few simple mantras: I am worthy of love I am happy I am uniquely me I am peaceful and calm Breathe in, breathe out, it's gonna' be alright Class Three In this last class of this series we discuss a few other types of meditation tools and meditation practices then a guided meditation will close out this last class. Students meditation tools can be made using sticks/dowels and yarn or thin ribbon, paints and wood, ceramic tile, cloth, or any other type of materials. Helpful printouts will be available to students to choose his or her own art piece to create. There will be time for Q&A during each class. After this class your child may be interested in my "From The Heart: World Peace Instructional Training Class" where they learn how to create their own meditation circles, set group goals, and be a leader in the field of meditation. An authentic 'Meeting IKE Series' certificate of completion is issued at end of the last class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I am an instructor, published author, and business owner.
MY CLASSES AND COURSES:
My classes and courses are designed for higher whole brain learning to foster, develop, and expand creativity, empathy, and compassion paired with strategic logical thought processing. This method synergistically activates and accelerates formal learning comprehension, performance, and multi-task perception ultimately obtaining higher achievement and assists in advanced understanding and connection with others of all ages.
Presently I hold classes and courses for students ages six to eighteen. Topics range from guided meditations to academic learning about meditation practices, herbs and organic gardening, and learning how to make all-natural body care products and other "make your own" including meditation symbol art. My classes and courses casual settings erase formal and rigid protocols that can stifle and limit so instead your children are relaxed, open, and can tap into their natural creative and expressive side to stimulate their innate natural intelligence.
'Meeting IKE Series' is a method I created decades ago to blend our natural higher knowledge with every day life with integration imagination tools and setting intentions when creating art and craft projects thereby creating a focused task and project completion. IKE is their "Inner Knowledge Elf" (for teens and adults I teach it is their "Inner Knowledge Essence"). This is the higher consciousness representing that all knowledgeable voice within. I design and create merchandise, tools, and games for children and families that compliment what I teach in my Meeting IKE Series classes and courses.
OTHER BUSINESS VENTURES:
I make all-natural, mostly organic ingredients body care products. There are no synthetics, nothing artificial in anything I create.

MY TRAINING
It began in the 1980's and included state-regulated training from:
1) The state of Florida
a). Miami-Dade Crisis Center (volunteer at the center for children)
b). Broward County Guardian Ad Litem Program (legal advocate representing children in the judicial system)
2) The State of New York
a). NYS Foster Parent Services including yearly training (foster parent to nine children)
I also was privileged with private corporate training through:
a). Rapid Change Technologies, Inc.
b). Creative Community Institute, Inc.
c). Marriott Corporation
I taught a special higher learning segment to children at the Association for Research and Enlightenment in Virginia teaching children how to tap into their inner knowledge and use these innate gifts. I've partaken in numerous classes and courses over the years by various esteemed professionals in their fields on the topics of children's psychological assessment from trauma and abuse, spiritual development, healing play, as well as symbolism and intuition. Some of my mentors range from government body and corporate leaders to an Algonquin spiritual elder, and from holistic practitioners to a scientist and others as well as my mother who is a well-respected and world-renowned expert in her field.
PERSONAL LIFE:
My husband, Charlie, our (huge) Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix dog, Aragon, and our tiger cat, MeowMeow live in Western New York about five months each year and are one block from Lake Ontario. The remainder of the year we are in sunny Florida just south of Tampa. We have a beautiful and smart eight-year-old granddaughter, Giavanna, and she visits us often. When we are in Florida we use Facetime to stay in touch. In my "spare time" I love spending time with family and friends, in my organic herbs and veggies garden, and relaxing in my northern huge backyard with towering trees and a relaxing bonfire.
I look forward to having your children in my classes. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me.
