---October 13th---

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 - Tame your Angry Dragon
Angry like a Dragon! We will be discussing what happens in our bodies when we feel angry: we feel hot, heart beats faster, breathe fast, become sweaty, fiery, feeling that we are losing control!

                  💡   *𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭:

                                      - hand model of the brain;
                                      - soothing/self-regulating basic strategies.

📃Supplies: paper and pen, playdough and space to move around.

---October 20th---

𝗧𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿! - Anger Thermometer

Tiny Tim Turtle will tell the children his story of when he became angry and what he decided to do instead of yelling, stomping or kicking.

                  💡   *𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭:

- relaxation thermometer;
- breaking out of the big emotion by acknowledging it;
- bely breathing, opening the chest and slowing down our heart rate;

📃Supplies: worksheet we will provide, markers (green, blue, yellow, orange, red) and space to move around.

---October 27th---

𝗠𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗻 - Containing Anger
I will tell a story about two puppets who react differently to some news. One of the puppets gets furious when he gets the news.

                  💡   *𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭:

 - brain, body, breath relationship;
- expressing angry feelings safely;
- containing the anger in a safe space, instead of keeping it in our body;

📃Supplies: 2 balloons, one inflated and one not inflated, please; permanent marker to write on the balloons

---November 3rd---

𝐌𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐌𝐞 𝐚 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐥
Like us, children have a wide range of feelings, but it is sometimes difficult to express what they feel with the right words and understanding. In this class we will focus on the signals sent from our body to us when we feel a specific emotion.

                  💡   *𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭:

- hand model of the brain;
- "flip the lid";
- Traffic lights strategy;
- soothing/self-regulating basic strategies.

📃Supplies: space to move around, play dough, paper, colouring pens, a box of tissues

---November 10th---

𝗕𝗲 𝗮 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀' 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲!
Children will have an outline of the puppet, and together we will watch different videos and look for "clues" trying to identify different emotions.

                  💡   *𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭:

- every feeling is OK;
- the relationship between thoughts - feelings - actions;
- our body and emotions;
- look for clues;

📃Supplies: Worksheet we will provide, different objects that usually calm down your learner: teddies, squishy toys, etc

---November 17th---

𝐄𝐦𝐨𝐣𝐢 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 - A Day Full Of Feelings
Emotions are like the weather - sometimes pleasant, sometimes not. Are you feeling upset and angry like a storm, or peaceful and happy like a warm afternoon? Or something else? Whatever it sis what you feel, see if you can let it be there....it will change, like the weather.

                  💡   *𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭:

- "welcome the weather inside yourself";
- "Weather" breathing
- moody music
- emoji party

📃Supplies: space to move around, paper

---November 24th---

𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐀 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐨 - How Feelings Build Up
Emotions build up inside us and create pressure that tends to explode outwards when we feel angry. Just like a volcano would erupt when the lava gets too hot.

                  💡   *𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭:

- how different emotions build inside us;
- anger outbursts are secondary to other emotions built up inside us;
- use of visuals - angry like a volcano;
 - ABCDE anger management technique;
- "Before I explode, I will........"     worksheet

📃Supplies: Worksheet we will provide

---December 1st---

𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 - Becoming Resilient
Nobody on this plant is perfect, but every single human being is special and capable of achieving things they want to achieve. But what can you do when you reach setbacks?

                  💡   *𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭:

- what is "mindset"?;
- say "yes" to opportunities;
- build your support team;
- "role Models";
📃 Supplies for this class: play dough, paper, colouring pens.

---December 8th---

𝐌𝐲 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 - Feelings keep changing
We will all discuss general events that might happen at a child's party (i.e. excitement when waking up, nervous before guests arrive, grateful for receiving gifts, etc) and we will highlight the fast that feelings change many times in a day, and it can be overwhelming, so sometimes we can take "time-off" or a "step back" if it's too overwhelming for us.

                  💡   *𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭:

- body check in;
- tissue breathing;
- using tool to keep calm

📃Supplies: worksheet we will provide.

---December 15th---

𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐈𝐬 "𝐀𝐰𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞!"
Did someone say mistakes? That’s right! Maybe you’ve thought that mistakes are bad, or are embarrassing, or mean you’re a failure.
Our brains make new connections every time we make a mistake and fix it. These new connections make us smarter!

                  💡   *𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭:

- growth mindset vs fixed mindset;
- mistakes are learning opportunities;
 - overcoming the fear of making mistakes;
- How do you feel when you make a mistake?
- "Beautiful Oops!" song

N O T E S

→ No Books or Stories Needed: All stories in this class are short, 5-10 minute fictional tales like "Tiny Tim Turtle on the playground." After each story, children will brainstorm ways the characters can manage emotions, like calming down when mad.

→ No Prior Experience Required: Kids don’t need prior knowledge of mindfulness or mindset strategies. These techniques will be taught step-by-step, making them accessible to all learners.

→ For All Kids: This class supports social-emotional development for all children, not just those struggling with emotions.

→ General Discussions: Class discussions are based on broad examples (e.g., "What could make a child angry at lunchtime?") rather than personal experiences.

→ Privacy Policy: Students should avoid sharing personal feelings. If personal conversations arise, we will mute the microphone for privacy.
Learning Goals
Develop emotional literacy.
Understand Emotions: Learn to identify emotions and how they influence behavior and decision-making.
