Readers Theatre is a dramatic presentation of a written work in a script form. Readers read from a "script" and parts are divided among the readers. No memorization, costumes, blocking, or special effects is needed. Scripts will be shown on the screen and all readers will have access to the PDF document to follow along and read from home! Students will improve their reading comprehension skills by engaging with the text in a "dramatic" form. Students will enhance their reading fluency and expression as they act out their role.
Dr. Jenn is an experienced literacy educator with expertise in the field of reading and special education. Additionally, Dr. Jennifer is the Educational Director of Educate Theatre Camp combining her excellence in education and theatre.
