US Grade 4 - 7
I will provide the notes, activities and directions needed to seamlessly follow through each lesson. The student will be encouraged to take notes as they move through the lessons as this will help them complete their assignments, and I will respond to any questions that may be posted via messages or in submitted work. Suggested time for completion is within four weeks, but time can be extended if needed. Upon completing the activities provided, the student should have a deeper understanding of what fractions symbolize, how they are used in real-life, and how to perform simple calculations with fractions.

Syllabus
4 Lessons
over 4 WeeksLesson 1:
Finding Least Common Multiple and Greatest Common Factor/Simplifying Fractions
The lesson will help the student practice with finding the LCM and GCF.
Lesson 2:
Finding Equivalent Fractions/Adding and Subtracting Fractions
The lesson will help students find equivalent fractions in order to add and subtract them.
Lesson 3:
Converting Mixed Numbers and Improper Fractions/Multiplying and Dividing
Students will convert mixed numbers to improper fractions in order to multiply and divide them.
Lesson 4:
Comparing and Ordering Fractions/Making Connections with Decimals and Percent
Students will examine the connections between fractions, decimals and percent.

Supply List
Students should have a 3-ring binder or some type of math notebook in order to keep track of their notes. A PDF will be provided with each lesson for students with directions of how to begin.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
