This is weekly private Math coacing/ tutoring session that meets for 4 weeks. You will message me and I will send you a private link so that you can enroll and so we can finalize the details. We can also meet twice a week or split the 50 minutes into 2 sessions. As we communicate we will either work on concepts to help your student develop better math skills or we will work on concepts that they are learning in school. As we work together, we will interact through the Outschool platform and share screens to share information. If needed I will post handouts in the classroom. It is to your benefit to communicate with me what skills you would like to work on ahead of time. I am always happy to teach topics which I choose as well. My goal is to help students become more knowledgeable but more importantly become more comfortable with pushing the limits of their math knowledge. This doesn't mean we are going to start on complex math but rather we will work on the foundation and try to figure out why concepts work the way they do. This will lead to better retention and long-term success in thinking critically. Topic examples: Linear equations Logarithmns Exponentials Quadratics Solving for x in all forms. Geometry proofs Circles Triangles Trignometry identities Topics will always depend on student's math level.

I have a Masters of Mathematics and am a licensed secondary math and financial literacy teacher. I also teach a math class for a local university. I love the exploration of math and plan to explore it in all of my classes. I also have a love of real world application and will also be teaching financial literacy courses.
My semester long classes will include plenty of exploration but will also be courses that will allow students to understand and practice concepts. As far as core classes go I teach Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus and Financial Literacy.
I have taught in ages 12 to 18 in a traditional classroom. I have also spent time volunteering and substituting in elementary math classes. I have worked with many students that have math anxiety and look forward to working with your students.
Feel free to request classes. I teach both integrated math as well as algebra, geometry, trignometry and statistics as well as financial literacy. I have received certification through NGPF to teach financial literacy.Reviews
