Develop mathematical sensibility by learning how to use clues to solve logic puzzles.
Class experience
US Grade 4 - 5
Learners will be given a scenario with clues. Learners will copy an elimination grid and use fewer clues than answers to solve. Learners will code for a "yes" or "no" answer to start eliminating the grid until they solve the whole puzzle. We will work as a class to compare answers and reasons for our solutions after time is given to work. Puzzles will get increasingly more difficult as class goes on, so that learners grow naturally with finding solutions to harder elimination grid puzzles...

I have had students in the public and private school setting K-12 for over 25 years. I was an elementary public school teacher for 1st and 3rd grades for several years. I then taught 4th and 5th grades in private school for over a decade. I homeschooled my own children for several years through a local hybrid school. Currently, my time is spent in the private school setting teaching mathematics to middle and high school students, 7-12. I hold a current Master of Arts in Education degree from a large university in the state of Missouri.
