Beginner - Intermediate Level
The students will be taught how to multiply using visual models. Students will be encouraged to participate in class discussions and will also be encouraged to explain their answers as we walk through the problems. I will teach students by making the learning fun and creating visuals for the students as well as relating each of the problems to the real world. The students will have time to practice what they have learned in order to show mastery of the content. My teaching style is student-centered, I will move at the pace of the students and adjust my instruction as needed to support the students. The students will be interacting with me and their peers consistently throughout the lesson because their input will be needed to solve each of the problems. As students become more confident with multiplying, then we will begin to play games and have friendly competitions to make the classroom fun. Students should know how to add before taking this class, because this will help when learning how to multiply. If students join late a review will be provided to ensure they understand what was taught previously.
