US Grade 3
Beginner - Advanced Level
This 12-week math course for 3rd graders is designed to build a solid foundation in essential math skills, following the Saxon Math curriculum. Each week, students will engage with core topics. Through step-by-step lessons, interactive activities, and continuous review, students will develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, ensuring retention and confidence in their abilities. Class Experience: In this class, your child will experience a structured yet flexible learning environment that caters to their individual needs and pace. The course is designed to gradually introduce new concepts while reinforcing previously learned material, in line with the incremental approach of the Saxon Math curriculum. How Is the Class Structured? The course is divided into 12 weekly units, each focusing on a specific math topic. Each week, we will have one lesson that includes direct instruction, interactive practice, and review activities. Lessons build on each other, ensuring that students have a strong grasp of each concept before moving on to the next. How Will You Teach? My teaching style is interactive and student-centered. I use a combination of direct instruction, guided practice, and hands-on activities to engage students and deepen their understanding. I incorporate visual aids, such as slides and video clips, to illustrate complex concepts and make learning more accessible. We will also use games and discussion to reinforce learning and make the class enjoyable. How Much Will Learners Get to Interact with You? Learners will have plenty of opportunities to interact with me throughout each lesson. This includes asking questions during instruction, participating in discussions, and receiving personalized feedback on their work. I encourage active participation and make sure that each student feels comfortable engaging with the material at their own pace. This course is designed not just to teach math, but to inspire a love for the subject, building both competence and confidence in young learners. By the end of the 12 weeks, your child will have mastered essential 3rd-grade math skills and will be well-prepared for future mathematical challenges.
