Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 5
This course focuses on Common Core Math Topics. Each month is a different Common Core Standard or Skill. The focus for the first month is: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals to hundredths, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method and explain the reasoning used. The activities will allow students to learn, practice, be assessed and compete in friendly mini-tournaments. I take great pride in making students feel welcome and willing to participate. I like to teach using multiple intelligences to make the activities more engaging and fun. Students will learn a skill through an interactive presentation, receive help with corrections on practice problems, quick assessments to check for understanding, and an opportunity to show what they have learned through a culminating game or mini-tournament at the end of each lesson.

We love to teach classes where students are engaged and learn through having fun. We have been educators for more than 20 years.

Teaching is our first love and we are excited to share our energy and passion for learning with our students and the hope that they will also match our energy level. More importantly, we hope that our students will fall in love with learning.

We believe that every child has the ability to learn and we are so excited to work with amazing children across the world.
