Math Camp: Understanding Fractions

In this camp, we'll dive deep into the fundamentals of fractions through a variety of interactive exercises and games. From understanding the concept of fractions to mastering fraction computation, we'll cover it all!

Each session will be packed with opportunities for practice and exploration. Through group activities, individual exercises, and games, students will develop their skills in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions.

The class will follow this schedule:

Class 1 - Introductions and introduce vocabulary: fraction, equivalent fractions, numerator, denominator, mixed number, improper fraction
 How do we change the fraction between a mixed number and improper fraction. The students have to understand this in order to move forward. 
Class 2 - Simplifying Fractions
Class 3 - Adding fractions and mixed numbers with common and uncommon denominators.
Class 4 - Subtracting fractions and mixed numbers with common and uncommon denominators. 
Class 5 - Multiplying fractions and mixed numbers
Class 6- Dividing Fractions and mixed numbers
Class 7 - Multiplying mixed numbers
Class 8 - Review and practice games
