Math Is Your Path - Solving Word Problems at the Grade 8 Level - One-Time Class

Students will learn valuable techniques for solving real-life word problems.  Students will learn how to write equations for word problems and we will practice solving the equations.

This class is intended for students who have completed grade 7 level math and are currently working on grade 8 level math. 

Structure of Classes:

Class Interaction:
- Teacher and students share an interactive white board
- Guided notes are provided for class, just prior to the session
- Students are encouraged to participate and write on the interactive whiteboard (this varies according to class size)

Prerequisite:  Designed for students who are taking grade 8 math and/or getting ready to take Algebra 1.   

Video/Zoom:  Attendance is taken at the beginning of each class, and students are required to turn on their video feed for this.  When students have their videos on and actively participate, it changes from a teacher-led class to a student-led class.
