Math in the Grocery Store: Skip Counting, Weight, Addition & Money Grades 1-2

In this one-time class, learners will be learning about skip counting, weight, addition, and money using an interactive pretend grocery store game! At the beginning of class, the learners and teacher will have an introductory discussion about food and where it comes from. Some discussion questions may include: “Where does the food in your pantry come from?”, “How does food get to the grocery store or onto the shelves?”, “Is the food at the store free?”, “Do we know how much it costs?”....
In this one-time class, learners will practice skip counting, weight, addition, and money.
