In this class, students will learn how to write numbers using place value. The place values that will be covered in this class are thousands, hundreds, tens, ones, tenths, and hundredths. The class will be structured that the teacher will roll dice and say the number for the students to write on the chart in the appropriate columns. The students will also be given the opportunity to create numbers and say it to the class for them to write it on the chart. Students will then be presented with the word form of the number, in which the student will write it in the correct columns on the chart. This class will be interactive, visual, auditory, and discussion filled.

Hello! My name is Mrs. Carla, and I am always excited about teaching and cannot wait to teach your learner. My favorite subjects, personally and to teach, are math, reading, writing, and science.
I have taught students through Outschool for the past two and a half years. For over 15 plus years I have been employed in diverse roles within the education sector. I have been a teacher, substitute teacher, instructional support, lead teacher in a childcare facility, volunteer, and tutor. I have my Associates of Science in Office Information Systems, Bachelors of Science in Psychology, and Master of Education Degree (PK-8), and I have also been fortunate to work with students who were high schoolers, special needs, and homebound.
In my class, your student will use their prior knowledge, share ideas, participate through discussion to help develop their academic and social skills. I look forward to getting to know your student and learn how they learn to better support them in their success in school.
