Weekly Math Games:

Week of September 24, 2023: Addition Board Game
- Students will play a board game. Each team will roll a dice and move that number of squares on the board game. Then, the team will solve an addition problem. If students solve the problem correctly, they get to stay on their current square. If they don't solve it correctly, they must move back three squares. The winner is the first team to finish the game.

Week of October 1, 2023: Addition Kaboom
- We will play a fun card game. I will have the stack of cards. The team will choose a card. Most of the cards will have an addition problem to solve. If the team solves the addition problem correctly, they will receive a point. If they don't solve it correctly, they do not receive a point. Some of the cards will be labeled "Kaboom." If students choose a Kaboom card, they lose all of their points they have earned so far. The winner of the game is the team with the most points at the end of the game.

Week of October 8, 2023: Addition War
- This is a card game. I will show two cards on the screen. Two students will play against each other for each round. Students will add the two cards together. The student who calls out the correct answer first gets the point. If students call out the correct answer at the same time, there is a war. They must continue playing until only one student calls out the correct answer. This student will receive the points for all the cards during the war. The winner is the team with the most points at the end of the game.

Week of October 15, 2023: Addition Bingo
- I will message each learner a set of Bingo cards. Each student will need a Bingo marker such as cubes, cereal, or counters. I will give addition problems. Each student will mark the answer on their Bingo card. A student is a winner when they have marked 5 Bingo squares in a row. We will have time to play a few rounds of Bingo.

Week of October 22, 2023: Addition Connect 4
- Students will receive a Connect 4 card. They will be given an addition problem. Students will color the addition problem on their card. The winner is the first student to have 4 numbers in a row colored. We will have time to play several rounds of Connect 4.

Week of October 29, 2023: Addition Stack
- Students will have the Addition Stack gameboard. When it is their team's turn, I will give the team an addition problem. If they answer the problem correctly, students will place a cube or counter on the correct answer. Teams will continue playing until their is a winner. A team wins when they have stacked 5 cubes or counters on one number.

Week of November 5, 2023: Addition Match
- Students will play a matching game. When it is a team's turn, the team will choose two cards. I will show the cards on the screen. If the sums match, the team will receive a point. If the sums do not match, the team will not receive a point. The winner is the team with the most points at the end of the game.

Week of November 12, 2023: Addition Dice War
- Two students will play at a time. Each student will roll two dice. The students will add their dice together. Each student will share their problem and sum. The team that rolls the higher sum will receive the point. The winner is the team with the most points at the end of the game.

Week of November 26, 2023: Addition Target Number

Students will place their cubes or counters into the cup. They will shake the cup and pour out the materials. Students will create their addition problem and determine the answer. Students will receive a point for each problem and a point for each correct answer. The winner is the team with the most points at the end of the game.

Week of January 7, 2024: Addition Knock Out
- Students will write numbers 0 to 12 across the top of their paper. I will show a number to the students. Students will cross out two numbers that equal my chosen number when added together. The goal is to cross out or knock out all the numbers first.

Week of January 14, 2024: Addition Tower Game
- Students will receive a printable. If students do not have a printable, they will be able to create the printable on a blank piece of paper. The printable will have different math problems printed on the card. Students will need to have a set of blocks that are two different colors. Each student will be given a number. The student will find the problem that equals that number. Then, the student will build a tower that matches the problem. The winner is the team with the most towers at the end of the game.

The team is allowed to ask questions before they guess a sum. Some questions could include: Is your sum less than 10? Is your sum greater than 10? Is your sum a one-digit number? Once a team has correctly guessed the sum, they receive a point. Then, the team can give addition problems that equal the sum. The team will receive one point for each correct addition problem. The winner is the team with the most points at the end of the game.

The winner is the first team to have three in a row.

Week of February 14, 2024: Addition Fact Fun Game
- Students will be shown a game board. Each team will roll a dice to move along the board. The board will be made of different colors. Once students land on a color, they will be given a card that corresponds to the color. The cards will include addition fact solving, doubles, give an addition problem, and solve the word problem. If students solve the card correctly, they stay on their color. If they do not solve it correctly, they must return to their previous place on the board.
