Join us for an exciting way to review 4th grade math skills! In this weekly math class, students will participate in a variety of engaging games and activities that will help them review various math skills. They will be able to work with others, solve math problems and have fun while playing a math game each week!

Skills We Will Cover:

👉 Multiplication (up to 4 digits by 1 digit)
👉 Multi-Digit Addition
👉 Multi-Digit Subtraction
👉 Teamwork and Collaboration

How the Class Works:

We'll work together as a team to solve a variety of math challenges. You'll use your knowledge of multiplication, addition and subtraction and other 4th grade math skills to progress through a math game or activity each week.

My Teaching Style:

I believe that learning should be fun and engaging. I use a variety of teaching methods, including:

⭐ Interactive games and activities
⭐ Hands-on projects
⭐ Visual aids
⭐ Real-world examples

During class, students will be able to type their answers in the chat, share their ideas with the group and ask questions to the group.

Weekly Schedule:

🗓️ Week of February 3rd: Students will solve multi-digit addition problems while participating in a Math Escape Room.

🗓️ Week of February 10th: Students will solve multi-digit subtraction problems while participating in an activity called Seeing Clearly where they will clear up a mystery image by solving math problems.

🗓️ Week of February 17th: Students will solve multi-digit multiplication problems while participating in an activity called Reveal a Joke where they will reveal a joke and the answer by solving math problems.

🗓️ Week of February 24th: Students will solve equivalent fraction problems while participating in an activity called Math Adventure where they will determine how to escape various survival situations by solving math problems.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
The teacher will share their screen with students which will be a Google Forms, Google Sheets, Google Slides or other digital math activity. Students will not need access to Google Apps.
Pre-Requisites
Students should have basic understandings of multi-digit addition, multi-digit subtraction, multiplication facts and multiplying up to a four digit number by a one digit number along with other 4th grade math skills.
Supply List
Please bring something to complete math work on (whiteboard, notebook, etc.).
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
