Students will: 1. Identify and classify different types of fractions, including proper fractions, improper fractions, and mixed numbers. 2. Demonstrate an understanding of ratios, rates, and proportional relationships, and apply them to solve real-world problems. 3. Develop proficiency in simplifying algebraic expressions and solving basic algebraic equations. 4. Calculate the perimeter, area, and volume of various two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes. 5. Explore the relationship between the circumference and area of circles and apply formulas to calculate these quantities. 6. Investigate the properties of three-dimensional shapes, such as prisms, pyramids, cones, and spheres, and calculate their volume.
