Math Exploration: Pumpkin Pi is a one time seasonal math class. We will discover the world of pi and circles by using real life pumpkins as our guide. Topics covered include: Solving geometric problems- using formulas Creating charts Comparing numerical values Circle, circumference, area, and pi This math course is intended as an extension to your school or homeschool math coursework. This class is ideal for upper elementary and middle school students. (Approximately 7th-8th grade level)
Learning Goals
Students will learn about pi.Students will apply the formula for area and circumference of circles.

Optional: Pumpkin (of any size) Ruler Yarn (for measuring around the pumpkin)
