This one time Spring themed class will challenge students to solve a variety of math problems, using an escape room format. Students will work together to solve the riddle that will gather up Contrary Mary's flowers. They must find all of the hidden pictures and decode the riddle in 30 minutes. Math problems are at second and third grade level and involve a variety of concepts, including all four math operations, data, time, area, perimeter, and fractions. Students will be encouraged to interact with peers to solve the problems; teacher will ask guiding questions and offer possible strategies if the group is stuck.
