Each week I will address a different concept in math, focusing on strategies and skills and differentiated problems in a fun and accessible way.
Class experience
US Grade 4
This a fun and well-paced math club for learners to explore strategies, consolidate understanding, learn new concepts and clarify understanding. Learners will work through a selection of math problems targeted at Grade 4 / Year 5. This is an ongoing class which is fun and the aim is that children feel that they are making progress. I have been teaching in primary / elementary schools for many years. I am an experienced classroom primary / elementary school teacher and head of year. I have taught in London, North Africa and the Middle East and am now based in the U.S. With a wealth of experience, I enjoy helping children progress in their academic journey. I pride myself on ensuring that the materials are educational and engaging and that children leave the lesson knowing more than when they started. Progression in mathematics and moving forward with confidence is my key aim. I encourage children to clarify understanding and to develop the language and thinking tools to do this with confidence. I have also completed many training courses to help children become better writers, readers, speakers and mathematicians. I am looking forward to you joining me!
