Math Camp-Math Equations as Picture Puzzles to Review 5th-8th Grade Concepts
Class experience
US Grade 5 - 8
This Ongoing class is a "Fun Math Camp". We will review several different topics and concepts for learners doing Mathematical curriculum for most 5th through 8th grade. The best part is how the concepts are presented - in puzzle form. It's a fun way to think through equations using pictures instead of just numbers. I strongly encourage participation and discussion. Learners will have the opportunity to explain how they came about their conclusions, and sometimes we'll find more than one...
Over the next several weeks, students will be practicing the following concepts: order of operations, fractions and decimals, negative numbers, multiplication tables, and area models - all with fun pictures.
