Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
We will blast off on a great space race and use our addition skills to progress through the board game! We will use 3 different math strategies to solve addition problems equal to 10. We will solve basic math equations to move our rocket through space! We will learn an interesting fact about each planet as we progress.

In this one-time class, students will learn how to add single digit numbers (up to 10) by using various math strategies. We will use manipulatives, ten frames, and mental math to solve basic math equations. The class is highly interactive, educational, and fun!

Students will be actively involved in their learning as they engage in hands-on activities using a counting mat, pre-cut numbered planets, and objects (dime sized play dough balls, pennies, marshmallows, counters, or cubes). Each student will be given the chance to share their favorite planet and any interesting space facts they might already know!

This will cut down on any unwanted background noise.
