Class Experience
This class will meet one time. The first ten minutes will go over tips for both multiplication facts to know by heart and the method for all multiplication problems. Then, the next fifteen minutes, I will do four multiplication problems ranging in difficulty with the students. The next ten minutes, we will work through four problems together. The last ten minutes, students will do some practice on their own where I can assess how well they know multiplication and give them a few pointers on...
Students will learn how to become confident in multiplying using a variety of tips and strategies to help them.
I LOVE MATH! I graduated as a major in Mathematics, have been a Math tutor for over 15 years. I have taught math in the public schools in New Jersey. I help students to gain confidence in Math and to learn to like it instead of being scared of the subject.
There is no homework for this class since it is one time class. I will provide games and additional practice for students after the class ends.
Learners will need paper and pencil!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be assessed by independent problems they will do during the video chat. If they would like to send their additional practice, I can check that and give suggestions as well!
