Intermediate - Advanced Level
In this comprehensive 4-week course, Mastering the MLA Essay, registered learners will develop foundational skills in essay writing, focusing on argumentative, expository, descriptive, and narrative styles. Through video lessons, engaging exercises, and asynchronous constructive feedback, learners will learn to craft compelling essays, master MLA (9th Edition!) formatting, and effectively integrate research and citations. By the end of the course, learners will have confidently written four essays of vastly different types and maybe even choose their best one for future use!

Argumentative Essays
Presents an opinion or stance, supported by evidence, to persuade readers, engaging in passionate and compelling writing.
Lesson 2:
Expository Essays
Explains and informs about a topic, providing facts, definitions, and examples, remaining neutral the whole way through.
Lesson 3:
Descriptive Essays
Uses sensory writing to vividly describe a person, place, object, situation or experience all the way to the bone.
Lesson 4:
Narrative Essays
Tells a unique personal story, with a lesson or reflection worthy of careful consideration.

This class is designed to meet learners' individual and personal needs and can accommodate ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, amongst others.
