Students will practice placing fractions on a number line to understand their relative positions and relationships.

Visualizing Fractions: Comparing with Number Lines
Students will use number lines to compare fractions and identify equivalent fractions.

Students will learn how to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa using models, enhancing their understanding of both concepts.

Students will practice placing decimals on a number line and continue to practice converting fractions to decimals and vice versa.

Decimal Decoders: Comparing Decimals to the Hundredths
Students will learn to compare two decimals to hundredths by reasoning about their size, using number lines and symbols (> = <) to justify their conclusions.
Students will understand a fraction is a number on the number line.
Students will be able to represent fractions on a number line.
Students will recognize and generate simple equivalent fractions. 
Students will express whole numbers as fractions. 
Students will compare two fractions with the same numerator or the same denominator. 
Students will convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions. 
Students will compare decimals.

Homework Offered
1) Complete the posted Pear Deck lesson to learn the new skill. 2) Respond to the discussion prompt using Flip Grid. 3) Complete and submit the Google Form Quiz and read the teacher's feedback

Students will receive short written feedback based on their weekly quiz.
Grades Offered
Students should already be able to identify and represent fractions of the whole (halves, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths, eighths, & tenths). 
Whiteboard or paper to take notes and can be used to solve problems during video lessons if desired.
