I will meet each individualized student where they are at, and set attainable learning goals for their needs of improvement in English. I will first meet with families and the student to find out what the student needs assistance on in English. This can include help improving reading fluency, comprehension, connection to texts, or writing anything from short stories to masterful essays, or communicating in conversational English to public speaking techniques. Once uncovering the students area of need as well as their strengths and areas of learning they enjoy, I will tailor my sessions to meet their needs and achieve their learning goals one at a time. Through open discussions and assisting students with homework or essays and projects from their English classes or through creating and using remedial activities specific to the student, I will encourage learners and give them the individualized skills and tools necessary to become confident masters of English and take pride in their abilities.
