Beginner - Intermediate Level
Dive into the world of anime art! This course focuses on creating dynamic characters with expressive faces and hairstyles. Each week, students will follow a step by step process to master a new skill. Lessons include a 5-minute art warm up before the session, live demonstrations with Q&A, practice time with personalized feedback, and end the class with a fun interactive online game. Students will leave each class with completed sketches and the confidence to create on their own. (The game Drawasaurus) Drawasaurus is a free online game, basically exactly like pictionary. Everybody connects in a Private Room with a code through their device, somebody is given a thing they have to draw, and the rest of us have to guess what it is.) Learning Goals: Understand the proportions of an anime face. Master a variety of expressions (happy, sad, angry, surprised, etc.). Explore techniques for drawing unique hairstyles. Build confidence and creativity in drawing anime characters. Class Continuity: Content Builds.
