This class is perfect for middle schoolers or upper elementary learners whether home school, public school, or private school who need help mastering fractions. This class will extend the learner's concept of basic operations with whole numbers to fractions. Fractions are presented with visual explanations of equivalent fractions, common denominators, and fractions and numbers larger than 1. The goal is to help remove the anxiety and fear that comes with doing math so we move at the pace of the learners. I use digital manipulatives to help students visualize the lesson I am teaching. Students will engage in weekly live instructional classes, followed up by independent practice.
