Class Experience

US Grade 2
Advanced Level
This second grade math review is a super fun class with a lesson and virtual games. Learners will receive a refresher on how to complete a second grade math skill and will have the opportunity for fun independent practice with virtual games.

Each lesson is a stand-alone 45 minute lesson. During each lesson the instructor will utilize scaffolding techniques. These techniques will help learners master concepts by first providing a lot of support and eventually providing less support. The teacher will first model for students how to complete the problems, guide them to solve the problems, and gradually release them until they can complete the work independently.

As a prerequisite, learners should already have a basic introduction to the concepts explored in this class. Learners can join this class at any time and we will repeat through the topics so even if learners have missed a week they can still participate as long as they have already had a basic introduction to the concepts. This class will provide learners with additional instruction and practice on the subject matter of the current weeks lessons.
