Students will gain an understanding of how people lived during the ice age. Students will be able to identify physical characteristics and personality traits of fictional characters, and will be able to identify how an author can use words and phrases to anthropomorphize non-living things in literature. Students will be able to describe a story arc and know what a "turning point" is in a story.

Homework Offered
Students will be expected to read approximately 67 pages before the second class and 69 pages before the third class. Discussion questions will be sent out to accompany the reading, so students should prepare by looking at the questions and taking notes while reading.
